I am not looking to start a debate. Simply Just which one would best suite my needs.
The Car is a 07 Z06. I have a mild blower camshaft,Reher morrison heads, 2" ceramic coated headers, meth, full dual 3" ceramic coated exhaust, paxton 1500SL with A&A intercooler and A/C in still in tact.
Around 750 RWHP.
I live in OK. Just had a few issues getting warm over the summer with the A/C on while sitting in traffic. I have read many reviews about different radiators/ways to cool it. I just did the camshaft and I do not want to go back with the stock radiator since its already out. I also will be switching the coolant to evans Coolant. It is supposed to drop around ~15° according to Hinson Motorsports. Fingers crossed
Some people indicate that thicker radiators are hard to pull air through and will still heatsoak it just takes longer.
Second, The factory oil cooler is no longer able to be mounted in front of that radiator. I had it mounted behind the fan. Just seems like a bad place to try to cool anything...
Please advise with one any of you guys are running that have done this in the Hot part of the country.
Thanks Colt

I have an E-Force and I installed the DeWitts ZR1 style radiator. Even with the condensor and intercooler in front of it I never exceed 225 in the hot NC summer while sitting in traffic.

I also heard good things about the RSD radiator..
Thanks.
What is the difference between the ZR1 radiator?
Does it have a oil cooler inside?
Yeah I have read some good about the RSD one too. The one cut is cool for the higher HP cars.

Colt, you should read the information on Evans from thier website. It will tell you the exact opposite because of the waterless formula, the Evans will actually raise the temperature.
and of course I think the DeWitts radiator is the better choice. Why?
Because we make them, in house, including our own epoxy free cores.
We are so confident in the product, we warranty them for as long as you own the car.
"Evans has a boiling point above 180ºC which ensures it will not boil or turn to vapour inside an engine. By remaining as a liquid under all engine loads effective heat transfer is maintained. Engines filled with Evans usually run 3 - 10ºC hotter than those using water-based coolants, but the overall heat transfer and engine efficiency is improved through the elimination of steam-vapour pockets. The lube-oil temperature also runs 3 – 10ºC hotter with Evans but >500,000 successful conversions confirm this has no detrimental effect."
82C = 180 92c =200f (so could be 20 f more)

Thanks for the advise. I will probably just run antifreeze and distilled water. Maybe I will try the evans in my tractor
I'm at 719rwhp and I use a stock radiator with stock fans. A&A blower kit. I use pure water in the summer with a bottle of Amsoil Coolant Boost. Now that the weather is cooling down I'll throw a little antifreeze in there. Then next summer go back to pure water. Pure water made a 10F-15F drop in temps for me.

I still had hot temps and my AC would shut off in hot california traffic.
I fixed it by adding an 8" fan infront of my condensor on the driver side of the intake. Now, I barely make it over 200 with the a/c on while sitting in traffic.

When you put the 8" fan in there, are you pulling air or pushing air?

I believe he is pushing the air through the radiator which now helps keep the heat down in the condenser while sitting in traffic on a very hot day. If the AC condenser don't get very hot the AC will continue to blow cold.
I've had both a Ron Davis and a DeWitts radiator in my ProCharged C6.
I had nothing but trouble from day one with the Ron Davis. It never stopped leaking from the EOC supply and return line ports. Could never get any assistance from the manufacturer either.
The DeWitts is a complete different story. Great quality. No leaks.
My setup uses their drop in radiator with EOC and stock fans, a Meziere EWP and 160 t'stat.
Summer temps in 100 degree heat are coolant 205 and oil 215......... max.
