Default Fuel pump replacement

Hey guys,

Getting tired of battling back and forth with boost-a-pumps so I'm going to upgrade the fuel system. Only issue I have is that I don't know where to start... What would you all recommend to hold 800RWHP which is my ultimate goal for the car. Currently it's push 10lbs of boost with 60# injectors and a Boost-a-pump.

Is there a drop in fuel pump that I can replace my stocker with? I have a base 05 C6.

Thanks for your input!

EDIT -- Think I found my answer... Can you all confirm that this will allow me to completely eliminate the BAP?

I would think that the Walbro 450lph drop in tank should be sufficient if you are running regular gasoline. I just went through this ordeal trying to figure out what to use for a 463ci NA track engine running E85 on 85lb injectors. E85 requires about 30% more fuel flow and the engine put out roughly 740hp at the crank on an engine dyno. So that would be comparable to the fuel consumption of 962HP on pump gas minus 15% drivetrain loss = +/-817hp on the rear wheel for pump gas. Keep in mind that this is NA so these are constant fuel demands all the time, not just when on boost. The Walbro 450lph pump had no problems meeting the demand of the engine, best part is it was less than $200!

Good to know! You did all of this with out the use of a BAP as well right?

That engine is NA and it is in a mostly track used car (road race), so if you could imagine it's usually in say the 60% to WOT range. So a BAP would be running all the time and frankly just burn out the pump, so we could not use a BAP and had to find a pump that could cover that demand consistently (which is much more challenging) instead of just when you are in boost for 20 or 30 seconds lol. We ran the 450lph drop in pump (E85 compatible version) along with the Racetronix fuel pump wiring harness (about $60) which runs power directly from the alternator so the pump is constantly supplied with full voltage. So again that combo is an easy, cheap drop in solution that should be more than sufficient for your requirements
