The guy above from Delaware is pretty good. Time for a road trip and someone who actually knows something.

just a thought but even if he will "make it right" i would be scared.... eat the coupl ehundred on the tune and take it to somewhere that won't have your engine blow up because they didnt quite get the tune right.... or were guessing about a few things....seems crazy to gamble with your engine to save a few bucks.

At some point it is better to cut the losses and move on. A tuner that doesn't know his stuff is dangerous. I would find someone who does.

Ditto this.

How much would it cost to replace or repair the engine when the hotshot tuner blows it up ? $700 is small potatoes in comparison.

It sounds like weak valve springs or plugged cats. Be careful his could kill an engine. Good luck.

Running the wrong plugs for one and two just let Fran get you right. Better to spend money on some gas and tune than a motor build.

The drive to Delaware is worth it in my opinion.
See my sig...

BTW... I run the colder #7 plugs in my car and don't have any issues. They are safer than the #6 plugs.
The LS3 MAF requires a harness adapter and different tune... so you may want to prep all the parts for installation and drive to the shop on the LS2 MAF. Only takes a few minutes to swap the LS3 MAF when you get there.

I swapped in a whole set of injectors in Fran's parking lot when I went for my tune.

Smart move taking it to someone who knows what they are doing. Unless the maf is defective, it is not your problem. I run on the stock LS2 maf, and a maf only tune, without issue.

I was running 600rwhp with the stock maf frequency, which I later extended with a simple upgrade to HPT 2 bar OS. If you max the 12200 stock limit (which I doubt at your power) a simple OS upgrade will extend it. No need to change the actual MAF>
