If you watch Stacy's 224 run, it was from a dead stop. They do roll ons as well, but also standing half miles. That's why he was awarded the standing half mile challenge win.
I was there in person.... the video doesn't do this car justice.... I really don't care how much those cars cost to build... what they do is simply amazing. Never seen a car lay that much power down that efficiently on a un-prepped race surface..... it accelerated like a jet car... The goes for Taylor @ dallas performance's Lambo which ran 220 MPH the day before....
Your car makes the same power so make us proud here at corvette forum and bust his azz!
Nick,
Just out of curiosity why didnt you ever race any of the "big dogs" ??? You obviously have a special interest in Bramatis build, but I cant help but wonder what your 1/4-1/2-1 mile records were??
Finally people are starting to see the point of TC like top flight motorsport has for years! Im sorry but anyone that thinks your right foot and brain has better control over an engines torque output, with only the throttle, than an computer with TP, timing, boost, fuel corrections available to it is VASTLY mistaken.
Engineers can make power power than pretty much any tire can put to the ground these days. The art form is now in controlling that power so you are constantly at, well just below, breaking traction at all times. Its the same for fast road cars (see the Farrier F12), race cars (ALMS) or drag / mile racing.
So does the secret sauce lie in programming existing TC functionality in an E38 or standalones? Also can TC be used alone and get this kind of benefit or in conjunction with boost by speed/gear

Lol, I agree Ryne, Stacy is a buddy of mine, the car in person is a work of art!

Ron don't think that 80E will work so well @ 1/2 or 1 mile.
Like you Ron, I'm a small business owner and just cannot leave for a week at a time. Maybe I'll hit up Obama for a bailout Also wish I had a trust fund but sure lots here would!
As far as special interest in Mikes car why not?
I mean it is the king HP for street driven C6 on this board. He has the best chance taking the MPH crown back from Ford.
As far as running my car who said I didn't run it? Ron I don't come here to brag...hence why I never started a "my build thread" I finished it THEN I started a thread. FYI I ran my car once and got the boot @ Cecil. 1.68 60ft 9.2 155 on pump gas and 14psi with a 5200 1>2 shift.
Not to bad considering that that RPM 80E with a Tbrake and LG 15" MT should easily cut a 1.3 60. Thats an 8 second pass on 14 psi. Still got an additional 14 psi to go!. 8.2s....maybe..honestly dont really care so much for straight line since I started autocrossing @ NJ motorsports park in my 911S.
Like Mike I am not interested in blowing a hole threw my dash. Also I have found that my Vbox is accurate to the .015 hence why I told him to pick on up.
Good day
