Well long story short, I'm in the market for some new pistons. this set up is
LS7
V2 Si @ 8 psi
WCCH heads
LT's
blower cam
Bosch 1000's
E85
Street car
I'm not looking to make huge power, I want 750-800whp. Josh @ A&A said they use dished pistons @ 9.7:1. The problem I have with this is that this will require me to run a different blower to reach my goal. I kinda like running 11:1 so my question.....
- Can I run a forged flat top @ 11:1 with 8-10 PSI on E85 and still be "ok" or should I run a piston @ 10.5:1??
In know about the upgrade bug, but at this point I would be running the car @ around 10 psi for awhile. Thoughts please?
Yes. If you hit 750rwhp, it will be a miracle, pushing the blower at or past its limits, and probably a ton of hot air. 700-720 is about all you can get out of a Si-trim, no matter compression/etc. You could always add a 100 shot.
Yes the si will definitely be out of air before your goal. Upgrade to the new Ti or swap to the procharger braket and pick up a D1sc. I have a built stock cube 376 with diamond pistons coated top and sides with my compression somewhere in the 10.2-10.4 range. Gl

You know what a Ti will do with a 3.6 pulley??
looks like a blower upgrade is inevitable
With 750-800rwhp on E85, I suggest looking into a fuel pump upgrade if you haven't already. If switching to the Walbro 450lph, you may still need a boost-a-pump too. Keep an eye on fuel pressure! The last thing you want is to go lean at that power level.

Good luck with your build!
