Default Callaway Supercharged

I have been a menber of Corvette Forum since 2007 not that long really. But most of my time is spent reading the Forced Induction section most every morning.
The one thing that appears to stand out is I can't recall ever seeing anyone with a Callaway Corvette have a blown engine. Are they really that good ordo the owners just never say openly that they had a problem.

I think they never break cuz there ran / tuned very conservative from call away... If I recall those cars make 606 crank hp which is about 530ish to the wheels... So there not really pushing the engines and drivetrain to the max like some
Of us do lol

The key is having a well engineered package, designed to deliver power, reliability, drivability, and backed by the only power train warranty worth the paper it's printed upon.

Our 2010 SC606 Corvette Grand Sport has 198,000+ miles, and never any mechanical issues, period.

Driven in rain, snow, and ice - and even on sunny days, too, it's been to many tracks, as well.

In fact, at 118,000 miles, we took the car to the drag strip, ran 10.8@128, then drove the car 200 miles home.

If we can help with any info, please drop us a note: info@callawaycars.com

Thanks!

Warranty packages never push the limits. They make enough but don't pulley down or run much timing.

Really makes you wonder for the unfortunate few that have had multiple blown motors, motors blown on the dyno during tuning, always fighting running hot in the summers, having to run meth, sure seems like a lot of problems wanting the last few hp. When after 198,000 miles and 10.8 / 128 in the quarter why push the odds. Sounds really good to me but the cost is really high, maybe you get what you pay for.

But for some 600 is not enough and if you need 7,8,9, 1000 hp then you have to pay to play and if thats their goal then go for it. Because from the ones that fail we all learn something at their risk. Seems unfair but thank you to the one who post about their unfortunate issue with their supercharger installs

For some stock is enough power, for others low boost in a safe package is enough, others are willing to pay more for a warranty (pre paying for a motor pretty much).

Who is doing the build is the most important thing to longevity.
