Default BAP install question

Hi guys I just finished installing a bap for my soon to be supercharged vette. I used the Racetronix harness and I followed the instructions for the Bap and harness with no issues. I decided to cut the control and just solder the wire together as many recommend. Now, with the engine idling it shows 60-61psi and when touching the wires for the hobbs switch together I can see the jump in fuel pressure but it only appears to be 2-3 psi. Is that normal at idle?

In sure someone who really knows will speak up but the increase shows that the BAP is working. It probably makes sense that it only gives a few added PSI.

I installed the BAP and cut off the control ****. My fuel pressure stays roughly 65 psi. Even under boost the BAP should increase the voltage so the fuel pressure remains constant. But if you are increasing the pumps voltage when not under boost, I wouldn't expect a huge difference in the psi. So 2 to 3 seems resonable. Just my thoughts...

I continue to research and I think you guys are right. I was expecting the psi to shoot up, but I think the main requirement here is to keep the fuel pressure constant under wot. So basically, if I'm seeing 64-65 once the bap comes on, it should stay that way. Does that sound right?

The psi isn't going to shoot up when activating the Hobb's switch/BAP. The fuel pressure regulator is designed to work this way. A rise of a couple psi is what I'd expect to see, as the regulator can only bypass so much fuel.
