No, yes, and no. Callie's crank (not compstar) and rods (not compstar) wih Diamond or wiseco pistons. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Don't get confused here. Callies is the manufacturer. Compstar and Dragonslayer are both by Callies, but compstar is the more budget model and Dragonslayer is stronger for more HP.
Think GM, making Chevrolet and Cadillac.

I cant comment on the Manley pistons as I have no experience with them. I know most higher hp builds use Wiseco or Diamond, but that doesn't mean they are the only good choices.

Maybe... lol.

No way to answer that. I personally would upgrade for that power.

This is the internet... ask enough times and you will get the answer you want. To be honest, according to the internet, it seems a stock short block is fine for 850.

Why are you building a 402 instead of a 365?

I'd use a stock crank, eagle rods and wiseco pistons for your power goal. I made 937+whp on that with an ly6 block and lsa heads.

oil pump failed and I rebuilt it after ~3k hard miles and everything looked brand new. Sold it to some guy on this forum for his build.

I'm still running a 365ci, just upgraded to a lunati signature series crank for my F1X

That ^^^ is the other crank I would go with if you didn't want to wait the 2-3 months for a Dragon Slayer.... Lunati Signature series and Lunati Billet rods.... Good for 1500 crank HP...

Other good rods are Oliver and Carrillo.

Personally I would not use a stock crank for a blower car at 850-900hp... It may last a while, it may not... Why risk it. Mileage doesn't mean ****, all that matters is how hard it has been ran and how many times.

I do think the stock crank is better then a Compstar crank though.. especially if its 4" stroke compstar.

If money was no object, my dream combo would be ERL Superdeck IV 6 bolt, Sonny Bryant billet crank and Oliver billet rods, Diamond pistons. This is 2k crank HP $hit right here... That's a good/SAFE 1500 rwhp (turbo) or 1300-1400rwhp (blower)...

I have a CCP stg2 Cam ill make you a deal on. It has 8k miles.. I made 900 rwhp SAE with it in a 402. Very mild and drove great. I trapped 151 mph with it.

Its 226/238*, 615/.605", 115 LSA. $250+ shipping.
