Vent
Ive been following this great post. But since i have an eforce SCharger i noticed it was going to be difficult to install the camaro hood vent bc of its depth into the engine. So i decided to design and make my own vent. It resembles the camaro profile but with a flat design to seat flush on the hood without going into engine bay so as to not hit the eforce cover. Here a few pics of the prototype. Thx OP for the inspiration. More to come

I did mine a while ago. The ZL1 vent fits pretty good on the C5 as well but not perfectly like the C6.
I compete in Hot Rod Drag Week so I wanted every bit of cooling advantage as possible as our street drives are generally 6+ hours long of mostly back roads and some highway too. Having competed in with the same car in the same general region of the country at the same time frame I can give an honest apples to apples account as to how well this mod works.
On average, with the car moving at a decent speed, 30-40mph this mod dropped my underhood temps roughly 10 degrees over last year. The car never had a cooling issue to begin with, but like I said, drag week is a hell of a test for any car so the cooler the better.
The car averaged in the 187-194 range during the heat of the day, with two people in it and towing a harbor freight trailer weighing about 350lbs. During the night time drives this thing struggled to reach 184.
For the $150 this mod costs....you can't find a better bang for your buck.

Does anyone know if this will clear a Dart 427 with a LME intake?
Said differently, anyone within striking distance to East Coast Supercharging that would permit me to test fit their hood on my car? I'm trying to keep the car as low key as possible. The WC hood would be a dead giveaway.
