Check that connection and repair the wire as necessary.

Fans can be a little tricky because it's not like they have an RPM gauge on them. If they are spinning at 50%, they are still on and working as far as any owner or tech would know.

Another easy step to increase fan speed is to remove the fan module and install good quality fan relays instead. You will loose the low rpm function of the fans however, they will either be on or off, but they will spin noticeably faster. Thus keeping the temps down. The stock fan module never gives the fans full vehicle voltage ever.

From there adding an aftermarket radiator is a huge help, and aftermarket fans the next from there. Or visa versa really, they both make a big difference in cooling.

I hope that helps.
No offense, but if you paid attention to his original post, he already has a Dewitts radiator, and it appears (hard to be sure by his wording) he may have a Dewitts fan as well. I don't think the Dewitts fan setup uses the stock connector, but I could be wrong about that.

^^^^ That is why I mentioned the intercooler differences. It's the only major difference between his setup and my old '08. He actually has the advantage of an aftermarket fan it appears. So I'm a little bewildered as to why his car runs so warm at cruise compared to mine.

And again, no offense intended -- but there has to be a reason a lot of ECS kit owners are going through the trouble of modifying their frames and boxing in the intercooler with ducting to emulate the A&A setup. Just sayin'.

Yes dewitts fan uses stock connector unless someone cuts it out during the install.

Plenty of A&A cars run hot too. Happens to both. In fact tons of procharger cars run hot too. That is just the name of the game with a centri on a vette.

A lot of owners doing it? That isn't even close to true. I know of 3, and only Pat has done the cross member and boxing. Frame isn't touched.

We have done 3-4 here out of countless installs and they were on the 1000+ HP builds where everything is custom. Streetk14, your comments painted with a wide brush that's all, no offense taken.

Sorry, I used the word "frame" loosely. Call it what you want, but it's a metal part of my car I don't want to cut up. Maybe a lot of guys haven't actually done it, but there sure seemed to be a lot of interest in Pat G's thread.

Over the years, I've seen more heat concerns with Procharger and ECS kits than anything else, but maybe that's just a coincidence. All I can say is that my A&A car ran really cool as long as I had sufficient airflow. It actually surprised me to be honest.
