Default can 900rwhp hook on a 325 tire and 17in rim

I have an 08 base model non wide body. Car is a forged 416 with a ysi blower. car makes 830wrhp and I would like to pulley down for around 900 hp. my 305/35/19 et street rears no longer hook from 20 to 50 mph. Do I need to buy the LG spindles and put 15s on the back to get 900 hp to hook. I would like to just put a 17x11 on the rear. Is there a good combo for this power level on a 17 or do I have to go to a 15 to hook. Would like dead hook from between 20 and 50mph.

thanks for the help

I would try the 325-45-17 M&H before going to a 15.

Good question..not sure. All the more reason to do a wide booty!

You can only fit an 8" wheel in 15s with the non-wide body. Id recommend going to a wide body first. You may be able to fit a 10", but youll have to really take a lot out of the control arm for clearance. your mileage may vary.

The M&H will hook a little better, but may not be enough once you turn it up.

I have the widebody conversion on mine.
Run Forgestar 18x12's on the rear with a 345/35/18 M&H Racemasters. Im only putting down 718whp but they hook incredibly well in second when warm. I couldn't imagine having a skinnier tire on mine, let alone with 200+ more hp.

I guess the main question is there anybody out there around 900hp that can hook on a 325 tire on a 17in wheel. I really don't have the money to go widebody right now but can sell my current 19s to pay for the 17s

That M&H 325/17 will work. Itll haze until about 60/65, and should put it down after that, depending on how hard your car hits, and how the surface is.

ultimately the 15s is the way to go, but we have had success with the 17.

I will say that the hoosier 17" hooked really well as well.

I will say the hoosiers aged very badly in my experience in that they were much better new than after some use. I will know here in feb how a 17" ET street R hooks 870whp and can let you know.

I'm about buy the 325/45/17 M&H's since I ordered two Welds for the rear but I'm running a widebody. Slo-Poc has them on his car and they hook well especially when they were new.

Running same thing. Best I've tried to date. They hook very well when it's not cold out.

Nothing is going to hook a dig or first.

Nope and I wouldn't want anything to dead hook 1st from a dig. For what we do we don't even use 1st. We have broke parts from digs and rolls though. Just goes with the territory.
