i modified the stock bucket to make the 485 pump fit in there i was just wondering if it would work the way i did it or would i have to do something else or what did i do wrong? Thanks
That'll work. Couple things: The siphon pump that runs the venture pump to fill the bucket is disabled, but you don't care because the pump is going down past the bucket and sitting on the tank floor. More importantly though, the pump is going to overrun the stock regulator and fuel pressure will be elevated when the engine doesn't require lots of fuel. I used to run two 255's like you have your 458 and idle pressure was ~65# (IIRC) and would go down to ~55# at WOT (supporting ~900RWHP). It's not a huge deal IMO, but unless you tune it; your idle, off idle and cruise fuel trims may go rather negative. Which isn't a big deal either because negative fuel trims don't affect WOT fueling.
thanks man i did put in a the billet fuel pressure regulator plug from lingenfelter and I'm running a aeromotive a1000 boost reference regulator with a -6an return to the tank.
Sorry I didn't look at all the pics before. So you didn't cut the bucket. Without the Venturi pump running there won't be much except the one way valve at the bottom to fill the bucket. If still some holes in it.
