Default Fuel Crossover

Dropped the fuel tanks to add the passenger regulator block off, when installing tanks back into the car I was able to get the passenger side without issue, the driver's side of the crossover does not want to seat all the way. I've dropped the driver's side four times and it has gone back in without issue until now. Are there any tips or tricks to seating the crossover pipe completely in the tank? I have a feeling that the lines inside the crossover are bent and not lining up correctly but I wanted some other opinions before I spend the money and time replacing them. Thanks.

You mean trying to turn the locking ring it won't go or it won't seat under all three tabs? I did this last night with the drivetrain in.

IMO it helps to zip tie the tubes into the tank, so they don't pull out when you pull off the crossover tube. Then when putting it back in you bend it (in a few places in order to get enough clearance to get it in the tank and clock it until it pops in meaning the tubes are inside each other.

Also helps just a bit to remove the black locking tab when trying to seat the crossover. Then put it back on when you're done.

I spend a good while last night getting the locking ring on. It would only go under 2 out of three tabs for like the first ~1/2 dozen times I tried it. Different tabs wouldn't seat depending on how I had it angled. Finally got it while keeping it straight and slowly turning it little by little (and I mean little) until it seated reaching up without looking (on a lift).

the locking tabs are still a half inch from being fully seated, its looks like the tube is stuck on something and not allowing it to go in any further.

I'd make sure the tubes are where they should be in the opening on the tank. And like I said, zip tie them. Then I'd make sure the tubes look OK in the crossover. Then try again. Mine was pretty far away but I just twisted it and it popped in and then the locking ring was very close to the tabs it goes under, but was still a bit of a pain to get on.

Daniel son, you must blind fold yourself and become one with the tank and cross over
