Default E-Force - which belt?

Hello,

I have the 1591 E-Force 599 HP LS3 kit installed on my 2005 LS2.

I have GMPP LS3 CNC heads, and the LS3 blower on the car.

My blower is from 2011 - so it had the older tensioner setup included in the car.

I installed the kit with the 3.875 pulley - and the 101.5" belt that was included. Everything fit fine with no issues.

I installed the 3.25" pulley - and I noticed that the 101.5" caused the belt to hit the Waterpump / radiator hose neck.

So I ordered the Edelbrock 15034 upgraded tensioner kit - and installed the 101.7" belt - as recommended by Edelbrock.

That belt is coming no where near to fitting around the blower.

The tensioner kit came with a 103" belt - I haven't tried this belt yet.

Should I tear the upper radiator hose off again - and try the longer belt?

I thought I had all of the right parts ordered - but this is throwing me for a loop.

Thanks.

So for sh*ts and giggles - I bolted the old tensioner to the new bracket - as it is machined for both.

I was able to get the 101.7" belt on there with no issue - as they old tensioner has a bunch more play in it then the new one.

I guess the question is - do I take off the upgrade kit and send it back?

Or do I figure out what proper belt length is needed for the 3.25" pulley - and the upgraded tensioner?

Thanks.

I ground the stop on the tensioner down so it would collapse more. The belt fit fine then. Hope this helps.

I fit the 103" with the new bracket - and it fits pretty easily around the blower.

I ordered 2 more belts - 102 and 102.5" to see if they fit.

If not I'll send them back to Amazon.

John - did you grind the Tensioner to get more play/movement on it?

Thanks.

Hey bonecrrusher, I was trying to PM you but maybe I don't have enough posts to do so.

I have an ls2 CTSV that I'm installing the ls3 eforce kit on with gmpp cnc ls3 heads. I should have it running in a week or so. You're setup seems similar. I was curious if you have dyno'ed it and what you're doing for a fuel pump?

I plan on running the 2.75" snout pulley with an 8" crank pulley. I have a single dw300 pump and a BAP on it. I'm not sure it is going to keep up and just looking for experience with similar setups.

Thanks!

2007V - sorry for the late reply.

I ended up running a 102.5" belt for my setup.

Here is my setup:
GMPP CNC LS3 heads
LS9 cam
LS7 lifters
Comp Cams 26918 valve springs
Comp Cams LS3 rocker arms Trunion upgrade
Edelbrock LS3 E-Force Supercharger
GMPP LS9 Valve Covers
Kooks Long tube headers
Edelbrock 3.25" pulley
1000CC / 95 lb/hr injectors
GM LS7 fuel pump

My car put down 580 RWHP - and was tuned by PCM of NC.
