Correct.. I think the gains up high will outweigh the reduction in traction control resolution. I can always add some sort of boost control down the road.

I had yet to really dial in the traction control on dbw anyways.. Will spend some time testing at our next event.

Dont think I ever posted these up.. My push bumper using a set of plow mount pin-on saddles ( I have changed out to a wider oak board since). Also uses the plow power plug to feed the car when needed. Pushed the car over a mile back to the pits at one point when it killed the throttle body.

Hi Ram is installed, just need to finish wiring the sensors to the ProEFI.
Conversion to throttle cable wasn't bad, I am using a Lokar pedal (with an adapter plate) and cable. Utilizes the original pedal stop so I cant break the cable pushing for more in a run!

If you thought the Corvette tax was high... The throttle cable bracket on the Hi Ram is a COPO Camaro part. $132.00!! And it didnt come with the screws.

Looks like you've got air temp data for before and after the intercooler? Cool.

Yeah, hoping to keep a better eye on how well the intercooler is performing.

I know you have other problems but wondering if moving to a spring loaded tensioner on the secondary belt side by the alternator may help charging at high rpm and lessen any belt slip dynamics.

amazing build. I would love to do this with my car sometime. Can't imagine going WOT for 1 mile with 1200whp

A couple updates..
Re-worked the the throttle to the matching pad and added the required toe loop. Car is now running and idling on the drive-by-cable. Getting ready for a 1.5 mile event July 12-16

Also, finally got around to mounting up the door controls in the center console. (pardon the dust, I have been doing body work in the garage)

Why is the toe loop required? To pull the pedal back up with your foot if needed or something?

Exactly, rules require the loop on any non-stock throttle assy. Not sure how effective it will be without a push-pull cable setup, but Im sure it wont hurt.

Lookin good!

Where do you think you will be speed wise after 1.5 miles ?

Been awhile since I read the entire thread. Arn't you running a ZR1 tranny with a 2.53 rear gear (may be another thread I read).

Looking forward to the results of that July event. Who's the promotor?

interesting wouldn't pressing clutch down be more effective ; or maybe this rule doesnt exempt manuals !?

Thanks! I will be happy with anything over 250.. Lots of new parts to test and adjust, but hopefully it goes well.

It does have a ZR1 trans, now with 3.15 rear.

Event is put on by the Loring Timing Association in northern Maine.

Yeah, there are many other ways to stop the car but the throttle is one that is specified in the rules (along with ignition cut, fuel cutoff switches, etc).

Found out my new hood is not going to be done in time for the July event.. Could only find a universal Harwood 6" cowl on short notice. Needless to say, it did not fit well. The giant hole for the Tracspec vent didn't help either.

Lots of cutting, but it fits. Wont be the prettiest hood, but should work. I have added some aluminum structure underneath to keep it from caving in. Should be done this weekend.
