Default My Nozzle Nightmare

Purchased an Alkycontrol system, love the electronics but plumbings gotta go, check valve, filter, brass fittings etc... Want to go with AEM check valves/holders but had to buy Prometh's 90 adapters.

This is getting out of control. I spent so much freakin' money already and it still ain't right. Basically I want to use an Alkycontrol nozzle in a Prometh 90 degree adapter but the nozzle is AN4 and the adapter is 1/8" NPT. Don't want to put another adapter in and want to tap out the adapter for AN4. But can't find a tap anywhere?

Do they make taps for AN4? Thanks

7/16"-20 tap is what you're looking for (I believe but double check me please).

I work for Swagelok, a valve and fitting comp. There is way more to it the taping it to the same threads as the selected AN fittings and putting it together. The AN fittings require the mating end connections in order to seal properly on the cone angles. If you just thread it in and don't have the correct fittings you will have leaks. You do not want leaks.
You could paint the brass or place it in a hidden location. Just be sure you use the proper fittings if you change them or you will end up with a fire.

Seems a waste of time and money. If you don't like the brass look, as I didn't, just make it go away.

I'd be more worried about any added chance of leaks than anything else

Thanks to Sevinn, I realized the AEM stuff is 7/16"-20 SAE and not AN4, sorry about that. All I need to do is re-thread the Prometh 90 which is 1/8" NPT to fit the AEM nozzle.

There are no mating connectors or sealing cone or taper like AN4. It's just a thread seal and it won't leak.

Thanks

I use the Devils Own nozzels and holders, and used AN lines all the way from the pump and I didn't use all the mess of control wiring on the pump just a boost activated switch. I don't need meth unless I'm making a WOT hit no need for a little bit for a slight acceleration IMO. I like the KISS method and it worked for me very reliably I might add. But to each there own GL!
