Question for those with superchargez Z06 on stock internals.
How much boos are you running? For how long/miles have you been running your setup? Are you using methanol or e85? If you had any issues, how long after the installation of the force induction?
I ask because I'm looking at buying a supercharged z06.
I ran my stock LS7 for about a year up to 12 psi and 741rwhp before I installed forged pistons. The motor was fine, but was done as a precaution. I was running 91 and meth. With a good tune and meth, these motors will last up to around 700 rwhp or so. The more you beat on it, the greater chance of detonation or cracking a sleeve. Boost is irrelevant. Cylinder pressure and time under load is what matters. Tune is key to making it last.
Yeah, I am.. fortunately Sheetz around here has added it to all of their stations around here so that makes it easy. It's quite a bit cheaper than even 87 so that helps cancel out the bad fuel mileage you get from it
And adding a flex fuel sensor gives me an easy option to use 93 if I ever have to. Tune adjusts automatically.
If not an option for you then I guess cross that option off

Nope. Running factory Z06 manifolds/cats/axleback on mine
I don't expect the cats to last forever but they've been on there for like a year now and are still holding up. My understanding is GM uses the same ones on the ZR1 so that's the only reason I thought they had a chance of holding up
Around 13psi of boost, blower cam, E85 and a little meth (used to be a bit more).
I've tried it without cats and I flat out just can't take the smell so I put them back on. If I did a lot of back to back racing they'd probably fail, but just for doing some 1, 2, 3, maybe 4th gear runs every now and then they've been fine
I'm still planning on doing longtubes at some point, just haven't had much energy to put into the car lately

That's kind of what I wanted to hear! Z's exhaust is pretty stout so when I put the blower on, I'm staying with stocker exhaust for now also! Yea man I agree on cats, I always have them on!
The supercharger has been on for 4 years, I put a smaller pulley and meth on for about a year now I'm going bigger charger and forged bottom end so I can run more boost
