Hey guys, looking for some map sensor advice for my 2008 c6z.
just finished build and I'm wondering what map sensor to use.
will a zr1 3 bar work? what are you guys using?
Thanks!

2 bar cobalt or 2.5 bar Dsx are simplest. Zr1 can work but have to change the plug and I believe you have to drill the hole on the manifold out slightly so it'll fit

plans are to go above 15psi so I don't think the 2 bar will work. And I don't think DSX makes the 2.5 bar anymore. I guess that leaves me with changing the plug to run a 3 bar. Do you know where I can find it?
I have a 2.5 bar one I made if you want it for cheap. It's not pretty but it works. I made it myself, same sensor as DSX uses. I hated how it looked so I switched to a Cobalt 2 bar sensor since I'm not going over 15psi
You should be able to find an adapter for the MAP connector if you want to use ZR1--that's probably what I'd do. Just google ZR1 MAP adapter or something like that and you should fine one

Talk to Gene Culley he can help you locate a zr1 map sensor.... he's the man around here.

Shop around for the best price. Use the GM P/N. I got mine on Amazon for the best price, but I think it was GM parts online that filled the order. These "GM Parts guys" are all over the place on pricing (compare with shipping cost too).
That was the reason I didn't do a 3 bar, because I thought my ECU can't take the values. I'm pegging the 2.5 bar now, not a big deal, runs fine, but would be nice.

The LS9 map sensor (12592525 is the part number) is great if you can easily swap the connector or get an adapter harness. You do have to drill out the hole in the intake manifold as the nipple on the sensor is larger.
The custom ones I make are expensive, take a lot of time, and are a pita to make... but they're true plug and play.
05 C6s are the only rough one because the operating system itself won't accept the linear scaling value of the LS9 sensor.
