That is a big *** pump

That is a horrible idea. That pump already has heat issues, and putting it next to a hot part, and fuel next to the hot part is a recipe for disaster.

No worries. I'm glad that the holesaw size worked for you. I have no idea wtf was up with mine, but I took measurements with a digital caliper and posted the pictures.
Sucks that they sent you the wrong size fittings. But I'm sure that if you contact Doug on here, he will sort you out. He is very good with customer service. Some of the others, not so much so.
I'm still scratching my head as to why they prefer to tee a -10AN line into the factory 3/8" fuel line at the tank, rather than running the fuel supply line all the way forward and teeing into the rail at the test port? That would seem to be a fail safe way to do it, since that pump by itself can probably supply enough fuel for just about any E85 setup.
BTW: please post pictures of your install. Better yet, do a full DIY thread, with pictures, because clearly anyone that buys this kit will need some sort of instructions, since they're not bothered to do that when they sell you the kit.

for future reference the problem is that the hole saw is 1.75" and the OD of the bulkheadwhere it fits into the hole is over 1.80". Real genius engineering. Nothing like being all careful and proactive with a hole saw trying not to get plastic shreds into the tank and then having to grind the hole larger with a burr anyway.

Well, that seems like a dumb design from some smart guys. Strange.

I’m thinking it was probably just a cheap bastard-sized holesaw. You know my luck: if there was bad one in a million, I’d end up with it. I was actually thinking of sending it to your friend in US customs, so that he could bore even bigger holes in people’s **** with it!
Other than that, I have no complaints about the ECS Stage 1 fuel system. That little bulkhead is a simple, ingenious invention.

Hawaii?! Man I’m green with envy. That’s one of the few other islands that I have on my bucket list.

I’ve still got the Cayman’s on mine! Maybe next year I’ll have the vacation days to make it down there. Hopefully.

So thankful this thread exists...I'm having a hell of a time installing the A1000 myself.
I couldn't get the adapter into place, but was able to drop the fuel tank shield to tighten the fitting. However, I think the damage was already done as I can see fuel seeping through the little pin at the 10an connection.
With regard to mounting, did anyone need to cut the splash shield at all to get it to fit? Maybe I've mounting the pump too low...
Also, anyone have pictures of how they mounted/ routed their wiring? The wire to the fuel pump seems a little short. I'm guessing most fish the wire through the rocker panel.

Thanks. I feel much better about the situation.
I got it all hooked up and tested...NO LEAKS. I was also able to see the fuel pressure jump up on my Dashlogic, so I presume all should work as intended once I install the supercharger.

A true 1 3/4” worked for me, since the hole saw will typically make a hole that’s slightly larger than its stated size. The problem I had was that the hole saw that came with my kit was smaller than 1 3/4”.

Huh... interesting, my kit came with a 1 3/4 hole saw. But ECS said they now noticed the issue and say a 1 13/16 is whats needed. I will be making my hole this saturday on my tank and just dont want to run into any issues. I have both the 1 3/4 that came with my kit and a 1 13/16 i ordered from amazon.

Here's how I installed my A1000. The brake duct is trimmed with mesh at the entrance to only allow airflow past the pump. The A1000 is used with a Hobbs switch set at 4.5, with a Lingenfelter E85 high flow in tank pump, with Racetronix hotwire.
