Default headers glowing red!

I am running a flowtech turbo headrs....and just found that on thier website the headers is only for 4.8 5.3 and 6.0 ls engines......and it is on my ls7 z06!!!!😅 could it be why it is glowing red in the idle!! help please.

not living in the US and lack of knowledge is insane in my country!😅 checked the timing and it seems fine! what else could be the problem here!

Timing would have been my first suggestion. Second would be AFR. May want to invest in EGT sensor. Bet it's not happening just at idle.

I still think your tuner has something setup wrong in the Pro EFI. EGTs are not going to be high enough at idle to make them glow red with everything else being normal.

For it to be glowing red it's going to need to be 1000* F or so. I've never sent a gasoline engine idle that high. Maybe more like 600-800. Especially if you are on E85

Try adding more timing anyway. Tell him to add 5* at idle and see what happens

things that can cause a P0507:

A vacuum leak
Leaking air intake after the throttle body

You have an air leak somewhere after the throttle body. The air leak will let in excess air with no added fuel so the idle will be lean, fast and unstable. The lean condition causes hot exhaust and glowing headers.

For them to be glowing red at idle, you'd just about have to be burning fuel in the exhaust headers. Timing way retarded.
