YSI-B vs F1-X
What are all the differences? I've read a lot and seems like 50 cfm difference, advantage to f1x. Ysi b is 1950 cfm f1x is 2000 cfm. Everything I've seen, seems like f1x cars make a good amount more hp. What is everyone opinion? Anyone ran both?

What's your goals?

Both are decent and depends on goals application. For 1150 or less I would just do the Ysi (even non-billet) and call it a day. ECS or A&A bracket, nice 10 rib kit, and enjoy. Or the F1A-94.
If you want to make 1200-1500rwhp, then do the F1X. From what I've seen, the F1X isn't as reliable, especially for a street setup as the long time proven Ysis, so unless you need that extra flow, or it is just a race car, go with the Ysi or even the F1A. If you need that extra 200-300hp then do F1X.

Im running a 365 with a modded ysi-b and my buddy has a 416 with a f1-x. Both are autos and will be running at Street Car Takeover in Phoenix next month. It's not exactly apples to apples but results should be interesting. I will post up results.

The F1-X has more top end potential but it depends if you are actually going to spin it hard enough. The YSi may be a better choice in the 1100whp range. The YSi does really well on the smaller cube engines but I'd go F1X on 427+ ci

Thanks guys. Just curious on everyone opinion. I currently have ysi-b with 2.75 pulley and an ATI 10% o.d . Balancer, new style A&A brackets, 427, 10 rib. I have a boost leak somewhere, it's only making around 18 lbs but was making 20lbs. It made 915 rwhp through air filter and no meth. Next pull was with no air filter and meth, but my mantic twin disc started slipping at 5,000 rpm so no number and need new clutch.

How does the f1a-94 do on larger cubes such as a 427. my d1sc falls on its face at 6000 rpm. ive made 820 wheel hp but i dont believe its making anywhere near that now as my trap speeds are 132. car does have iron lsx and full audio system. and 4 24 lbs batteries in the rear bumper. shes about 3800 lbs.

Yep.
Ysis come apart too, but it seems more rarely. Niether are perfect, but unless I was going for 1300+rwhp in a vette, I would stick with a Ti/D1X/Ysi

Drifting
I've had both in the same car....ysi pulled strong but I feel it ran out of steam near the impeller redline ...it took a 3650lbs car to 8.8@157mph so I can't complain ...I don't have a time slip with the f1x but I can tell you at max impeller speed it's pulling much harder than the ysi and from what I hear the faster you spin it the happier it gets until it eats it self up!

curious on the setup myself i also have a 416 and auto and in the process of installing a f1x what heads are you guys running and what kind of power did the set up put down and what fuel?

it has tfs 255 heads. it ran an 8.5@156 and put down 1200 at the wheel. we here having some belt issues so we had to call it quits. definitely more in it.

YSI for a 1100hp or less street car.
F1X for a race car.
F1X will make way more peak power but does not have the mid range that the YSI has.
YSI tends to be more reliable being oil fed, you will find far less stories of blown up YSI units vs blown up F1X's all over the place.
