Wiseco cuts performance shops some of the best deals so I wouldn't put a lot of emphasis on that being the reason to go that direction. They actually tend to be very heavy compared to the majority of other piston manufacturers (JE, Diamond, Mahle, Manley, etc). Currently Mahle makes the most sophisticated piston but they are pretty limited on bore dimensions and pin height.....So I'd probably go Diamond and have a top notch piston that will suit just about anything the block/rods can handle.
