Vinly will come right off, and maf placement looks poor.

That pipe gets way hot. Easy 200+. I can't see vinyl staying on for long. Even paint bubbles off after awhile.

Considering you don't have a bend in there, looks like maf is right after the bend for the FMIC. You want as much straight pipe before the maf as possible to reduce turbalence and get a good maf reading. .

MAF placement is so critical, for our C7 kit we made a ton of different designs before we found the one that gave the least turbulence.

right on,,i got about 2-3" of straight pipe before the bend..i got some room for moving it away from that bend but not much. guess wont know until we put it on the dyno... dyno is in about 1 week..il post results..

not too worried about the vinyl...i once wrapped the coil covers with it and lasted over two years on a daily driver...but wel see..

He was just referring to how important it is to get in the right place. So important they kept changing their kit. The model of car was not the point of his post.

so for all the skeptics, happy to report that after more than 1 year of testing, plus daily drives and track events this charged pipe has performed flawlessly. Vinyl still looks brand new, there have been no leaks, no code engine errors, just working awesome. many thanks to charles braber - V8muscle and brandon shannon for his fabrication skills.

That vinyl would most likely melt on mine...your states with lower summer time temps may not be so brutal on it. Looks cool though. It is amazing how cool real carbon fiber remains. I have dual Scorpion Pipes on my race bike ( Ninja 1000 ) , and those things are almost cool to the touch 5-10 minutes after beating the snot out of it at 170 plus mph

What alcohol nozzles do you use in the bung that welded onto this pipe and do you have any pictures of this populated with them? I'd definitely think you'd want less space between each item to give you more space from the front bend at the IC, but it sounds like you're having decent real-world results.

i have the Cooling meth kit, il post a picture today. the pipe length available was limited so i had to put them where they were. there is about 4" of straight pipe in front of the MAF. and i wanted the temp sensor to be as far away from nozzle as possible but also as far away from MAF. soo this is where it all landed..so far its been awesome...
