Default methanol injection

Hello,

I have a stage 3 methanol kit from snow performance. I have been thinking of installing because I would like to cool the intake temps and possibly help the engine a bit. I have taken care of the head valve issue already.

I have a ls7 with full bolt ons, blower cam and a v3si at 7psi(4" pulley). 705hp/630tq.

What do you guys think about adding a mix of 50/50? will the power increase from the meth make the engine a ticking time bomb?

With the proper tune, you'll be fine. I would only run 100% meth.

I have an LS7 with similar items (V3 T Trim blower)... 93 pump gas + Meth. Alky Control system works great and definitely cools IATs as well as helps with octane. Definitely wouldn't push a stock bottom end LS7 without it or going E85.

Ran 93/tiny bit of 100% meth and made 704 @ 8psi

Renegade 100% is what I run, decently cheap and good stuff.

i use 50% and it works great..AIT dropped 30 deg..less hazardous and no need to keep cans anywhere and have to mix it...u can get mixed meth from snow performance or you can get -20 deg windshield washer fluid but its only 30-40% meth,,,

So what is the advantage of 100% vs 50/50? I currently have an LS3 with V3 Si and ARH pushing 550whp on 93oct. I'm getting an Alky and smaller pulley installed next month and my tuner is suggesting 50/50. My goal is another 80+ whp, but at the same time I want a fairly fail-safe meth setup. Is that the advantage of 50/50?

My setup was less prone to knock with 100% meth. I started with a 3.8" (v3si) on 50/50 (boost juice) and my tuner couldn't run as much timing as he would've liked. Switched to 100% meth and a 3.6" and he was able to get the timing up where he wanted it and the car picked up a good bit of power.

You'll get more octane out of 100% meth and still get the cooling benefits. Octane is key to preventing detonation. Any slapping around of the pistons on a stock LS7 and the motor is toast.

Snow Performance 50/50 works fine for me, after all I want is cooling and octane benefit. This is the right tank to go with, you can place it in the trunk with the pump to keep it cool away from heat.

I run that same tank and love it. Keep 100% in mine though.

for you guys running 100 meth are you using nylon lines or stainless steel reinforced lines? just wondering because I ve heard100 perceny meth is very flammable.

I have a 2 gallon tank that I plan to mount in the rear.
