I'm at 5700 feet elevation. The tailpipes are blackening quickly, usually after each 60 mile drive it's pretty coated. This could be either a bit of oil blow-by or I'm running rich (probably). I'm using the canned-tune Edelbrock offers. Understandably, I'm a bit stuck. Unless Edelbrock supplies me with a leaner, waranty-keeping tune, I'll have to stay rich.
I'm wondering if other users have kept the stock tune Edelbrock offers at altitude and how they're results have been long-term? I suppose I could run a can of SeaFoam every month or so to keep the valves clean. I haven't checked plugs to see if they're blackened yet.
Don't have much of a choice besides living with it. It won't hurt anything besides just making a mess of the tips, and costing you a good bit of power.
