Default How much nitrous on LS7 with forged pistons?

I have asked a few people about this but I have gotten different answers. It seems like basically everyone agrees that a 150 shot is the max on a SBE but how much is safe to spray if I went to forged pistons and reused the stock block, crank and rods? I know I could just sell my stock short block and get a fully forged set up with a sleeved block but I would really like to keep the stock stuff if it will work for me. I would like to spray a 250 shot for 1/4 mile drag racing and if I can only go to a 200 shot with the stock block then its really not worth the effort for another 50 hp. Just trying to figure out my next move... any first hand experience would be greatly appreciated. My car is an 09 with HCIE and a nitrous outlet 102mm plate kit.

i believe your weak point is going to be how much cylinder pressure will the cylinder walls handle.

Start with a 150 after a while u will want more. Be sure to pull timing when u spray. The more u use the more unsafe it will get. a 250 will be safe if set up right. Make sure to get u a stand alone and use some c16 in it.

I already am spraying a 150 shot with a stand alone using c16 and a LNC-2000 to pull timing!! I know too much nitrous will cause damage and the tune is the most important part. I just don't want to spend the money and put forth the effort of doing forged pistons only and regretting not doing an all new short block down the road.

250 hp will work with right tune.
