Anyone have any ideas on a really cheap catch can setup? Considering just buying one of those cheap $30 ebay deals to give a shot first.

Side note picked this up this weekend down south for my dad. Blower/longtubes/cam with a auto trans. Pretty neat. I look forward to taking it to the track sometime spring/summer.

I bought a cheap one off ebay. Dual 12an inlets on the same side. I have both VCs vented to the can that I mounted where the dry sump tank used to go.

Did you have a lot of blow by? Thats how I have my can routed now and theres alot of fumes in the engine bay. Not a huge deal just curious if I shouldn't route it differently back into the engine.

I didn't with my LS7. I did have only the oil fill cap vented before the catch can and got a lot of fumes in the cabin. When I swapped to the catch can, that went away. I'm not sure how the 5.3 is going to do, yet.

This may be a good inbetween the dryer filter and a expensive catch can. A bit small but i also dont plan on driving around in circles all day so.

Theres a few diy's out there, you could make your own pretty easily. Basically a tube with some fittings and steel wool inside.

Well manifold is pretty much done not bad for homemade. Crossover is fully tacked and ready to weld also. We plan this week to have the entire turbo setup on the car ready to go. With some luck that will mean it will get to do the first start this weekend. If we dont get to do it this weekend then the following should be it for sure. I think we will take the turbo and set it off to the side for the first start so that we do not risk damaging anything that could be left in the exhaust.

Ace Race Parts has a pretty nice selection in all shapes and sizes for reasonable prices IMO. They have plenty of intercooler cores, V bands, all sorts of stuff for the DIY fabricator. They used to be fairly local to me when I lived in SoCal, but it looks like they recently moved to WA. https://www.aceraceparts.com/collect...s-steel?page=1

I am honestly not sure. My buddy figured out what we needed and i gave him the $ to order it. We went a little overkill with the thickness due to hanging the turbo up in the air like that. I will ask him where he ordered it through tomorrow when i see him.

Amazon should be an option as well. Mostly free, 2-day shipping. Can't beat that.

True but I find material choice is limited and extremely pricey especially extrusions. Random rubber hoses also seem to be that way based on my experience this week of autozone vs amazon.
