2005 6MM c6 for in 1999 c5 6MN

Posted over at tech but no response. I read somewhere that the 2005 c6 trans will work in a c5. Can anyone confirm this?? And if so is it plug and play??? Thanks

the diffs are different even with the c6 T56 i believe which require a bunch of **** to get to work. If youre going to go through the hassle of swapping in a C6 trans why not go to a TR6060?

o yeah not doing it. I found some info that said it would work but didn't say anything about shims. I'm not missing with shims. I'M passing on this project. Thanks
