Most power 4 bolt ls7 heads can handle before going to 6 bolt
was wondering what type of power you’ve guys made on a 4 bolt head set up without lifting them? My block is a dart shp. Was wondering I should keep my current stock ls7 heads that are fixed or switch to a 6 bolt. Plan to make 800-850 now, maybe 1000-1050 later when I upgraded the blower

Loaded questions, and depends on a lot of things.
I've seen 1100+ on 4 bolt heads, but they were ls9 heads, with good studs, and good gaskets on a 376ci smaller bore motor. Stock ls7 heads don't like big power, so it isn't as much of a 4 bolt vs 6 bolt, as much as the overall combo. You can make 1200+ on 4 bolt heads with the correct setup.

I run 1050whp with blower, N2O and meth, stock heads, sleeved stock block. It is all in the tune. I have run many Texas Miles runs over 215 without any issues.
