Default Another what to do Thread ;)

So, I have been saving for a little while and have a $10K budget. 2010 GS m6. I have MPSS, LT's, BB Fusions and a Halltech. The car dyno'd at 410. I want 650 eventually, not necessarily this budget time though. My thoughts are to get the car ready for the bigger power now and A&A later. UNLESS you guys can steer me in a different direction.

I'm thinking... 1st buy a Mcleod RXT clutch and install. 2nd get my car switched to E85. 3rd buy some r888r tires. 4th get a Jam Cam. 5th get the A&A. (I know I can't do all that for 10k)

Or am I completely backwards...get the blower and e 85 and pray my clutch and tires hold and get a cam later.

Not sure about the clutch situation as I have an auto.

But, I would do cam & blower at same time, reason being there is some overlap in labor you could save if you're paying a shop to install. The steering rack and balancer is going to have to come off both times to do either (unless you don't plan on having an 10% lower), so just do that once.

Just have the crank pinned while the cam is done, then that isn't an issue anymore.

I like your idea. Do the support first, then add the other parts.

I would suggest going to a blower like a ECS1500 over a A&A. Easier belt setups and more cfm than the T trims

ECS 1500 and A&A Ti are the same blower A&A don't even sell the old T-trim anymore.

A&A's website says the max CFM for the v3Ti is 1250cfm and 22lbs, ECS1500SL says 1400cfm and 26lbs

Then it is wrong. It is exactly the same compressor wheel.

Thanks for the input. I decide to do RXT clutch, Jam Cam, and E85 conversion along with rear r888r's and leave my MPSS up front.

In a couple months I will throw the blower on. Im at 410 whp right now. Any guesses what Ill hit after the first stage before the blower?

I'll be your huckleberry...
My guess is ....40 hp for e85, and 35 for the cam...not knowing the specs LOL (on E85) RWHP at 485. Mine did ~90 whp better on e85 over 91 octane (AKI), with a cam, ported heads and 10# boost...

My opinion, worth what you paid for it...

Blower and be done, you can make the power with a used $5k blower kit. Go E for the benefits and grab a Mantic Twin.

To fill out the $10k, cam/pin crank.

A&A kit with Meth and a good clutch can be done for $10K That will put you over 600rwhp (3.8 pully), if you go with a smaller pully, you will hit 650.

Well, things didn’t go as planned. Things have gotten out of control. I went with E85 flex fuel sensor, DSX ZR-1 fuel pump kit. zR-1 map sensor, MM catch can, RXT clutch, Jam Cam kit and BTR Trunion kit, A&A t-trim blackout kit with 3.6 pulley. Already have headers 3” exhaust with BB fusions. R888r’s.

Something tells me my car won’t be quite the same when I pick her up in a couple weeks.....of course now I’m wondering where my WHP and Torque will be. Any guesses now?

What makes you question the fuel pump?

E85 requires a good bit of fuel and I’m not familiar with a DSX zr1 fuel pump kit.
