Default Maggie MP112 IAT, how do you know?

So my father has a 2005 vette, it's had a MP112 on it since 2006 and was installed by Lingenfelter. When i look at the Magnacharger installation instructions it shows installing an IAT sensor in the upper tub of the supercharger manifold....which makes sense to monitor the air charge temp more precisely since the air gets heated by the supercharger. My father's doesn't have a sensor there, it is just plugged. So i assume the ECU gets it's IAT reading from a sensor in the MAF. It looks (iirc) like magnacharger has you splice the wires in the MAF connector that went to the MAF mounted IAT and wire it to the sensor in the SC manifold after the supercharger. Wondering why that wasn't done? Seems like there are several deviations from the magnacharger installation.....like every time i see a magnuson heat exchanger it't taller and seemingly thinner....and has an air bleed fitting on top. The exchanger Lingengelter put in(Z06 front bumper) is much shorter and possibly thicker with no air bleed. Magnacharger installation instuctions also show a "magnavolt" which this car does not have. Thanks.

I had a lingenfelter mp112 setup as well, they leave the IAT in the maf and adjust the tune. I ended up buying an IAT sensor and moving it from the maf to the blower.

Thanks for chiming in. I'll wait for my tuner to call me back and I'll ask him what I should do. The blower has been on the car for 65,000 miles/13 years so maybe leave well enough alone.
