not a great analogy 🤔. Better analogy would be two identical motors with different headers and intake on them.
anyway most are coming in Here claiming the eforce is “bad “. Dumbest thing I ever heard On here just about honestly. 🤷♂️ slapping on 150-200 hp for $7k is bad then people spending 5k on headers and a cam must be borderline retards.
Two of blowers with same rotor packs moving the same amount of air. Yes they have differences. How much that translates to actual power and track times I haven’t heard. even IF the HB performs better doesn’t make the eforce a “bad” choice. I would agree that the stock tune on eforce stinks. But that’s about it.
My car came with it. I could build this car anyway I want but for now (3 years later ) I’m still perfectly happy with it.
now keeping a corvette stock , that’s a bad idea.
Who spends $5k on headers and a cam? Thats like $2500 max including install.
Where can you get headers (and other parts) that would allow for that pricing?

TSP Headers and X Pipe - $830
Hinson Headers and X pipe - $830
LG Headers and X Pipe - $1300
TSP Cam, Valve Springs, Pushrods - $580
Not everyone needs or wants to pay $2k+ for ARH, Stainless Works, Kooks headers and there is nothing wrong with the TSP, Hinson or LG headers. I may be a little light on the labor side as I haven't paid anyone to touch my cars in over a decade but I still think $2500 is pretty close.
I had LG headers before. They were okay but the quality once I switched to ARH went way up. Meh on the TSP cam.
I don't disagree, I was just pointing out that Hinson, TSP and LG headers are good enough for 90% of corvette owners and cost less than $2,000 for the set. The TSP cam I was just using as a reference for price as it included springs and pushrods.

Jeez, someone starts a thread by asking a seemingly rhetorical question, and all of a sudden we’re having another lively discussion about whose blower is better, then than descends into a cost/benefit analysis of some sort on buying a PD blower vs. a cam, with some other folks getting all riled up as if they’ve been personally insulted, etc. C’mon guys, we’re better than that, no? Surely we can have a debate without all the venom and vitriol? Well, maybe not. And I suppose I contributed to it by proffering an opinion based on what was (I hope) intelligible rationale. But I personally can’t bash the E-Force, because I’ve never owned one. I’ve always been a big fan of Edelbrock though, and everything I’ve bought from them is good quality. I still prefer the Magnuson, since, yep, you guessed it: that’s what I bought! And I don’t want to admit that I made a mistake anymore than the next guy!
Now that we got that all out of the way, since we’re all swinging dicks around and ****, how about this: I bet I can whoop plenty of your-all asses on the 1/8 with my old junk PD blower!

Dropped my car off at the dyno this morning. Eforce, 3" pulley, arh 1 7/8" headers, stock balancer, id1050x injectors, ECS stage 1 e85 fuel system on e85. 12 lbs made 654 whp and 592 torque on a Mustang dyno. I'll post the dyno sheet later.

what boost level and supporting mods? You're not wanting to compare a Centri with 10+ lbs of boost, headers and cam....to a 5-6 lbs boost Eforce only are you? Realcanuk made 600+ with headers and a stock cam. Not sure on his boost or if that was with meth or not.
I make 643/632 with basic bolt ons 54% E and eforce on 5.6 lbs of boost i love it honestly. Meth and boost a pump may get me to 700 i'm hopeful. Love it just wish the whine was a little louder haha. Dynojet Sae 5

LS3, eforce 599 kit, upgrade to 3” pulley, ID850 injectors, Pfadt 1.75” headers and cam (don’t know the specs but can get them).
605/611 at the wheels.
Was this package expensive? Yes it was. Is it fun. Yes. Do I want more fun? Yes. Maybe E85 or meth to get 50 or more. Maybe a different blower. This is my personal debate.
