What's involved in removing the coolers just plugging the lines going to the rad?

You just need Prospeeds fan kit. Stock radiator is generally fine.

$10 oil cooler bypass, and loop the cooler lines for the tranny cooler. Can do it in the back by the tranny and get that **** lines away from the headers and out of the engine bay.

I did a block off plate at the engine, removed the lines altogether. Could easily do a newer Z51 or Z06 style separate engine oil cooler if you wanted though, $150'ish on eBay and should be a super easy install. I'm pretty sure it'll connect right up to the lines that are already there but check into it first if you want to go that route. If I have any oil temp issues that's what I'm planning on doing but I highly doubt I will.

Transmission lines I just looped together. Left the hoses in there for now.. if I ever pull the drivetrain out again I'll remove them and loop the at the transmission to get those damn things out of the way.

I realize this thread is 2 years old but no one mentioned one reason to get the short radiator. I thought the short radiator would allow the radiator support to be raised back up (remove spacers).

Clearance only reason but full length still clears A&A dongle.

Ah, that leads me to a few more questions:
1. Is "short" talking about the width?
2. Is the "full length" shorter than the OEM and allow to not need to space down the radiator bracket?
3. What is the A&A dongle?

Short or cut down refers to height so that it clears centrifugal blower dongle. Refer to the pics to see the difference.

Thank you. Those photos make it crystal clear.

I wonder why the folks have said that the shorty isn't needed? I find quite a few folks that would prefer to have the support back closer to the stock height.
