I think it's made a difference, mostly in bleeding the system (much easier to fill the damn thing)... I didn't do a 1:1 to see if temps came down but physically they make sense as well compared to block offs that would store air pockets.
By the way, if you need a kit, I have one for mine but had to swap to a different kit since mine can't fit under the intake anymore... let me know, its basically the block, some lines and the fittings for the block.

I think I just used the steam vent tube off some other model for the rear and tied it into the cooling system instead of doing the fancy billet adapters with hoses and blah blah blah, too complicated. I think it's worthwhile if you're going to be doing long pulls

I have no data to back it up, but I think 4 corner vents are a small piece of the puzzle that allowed my car to never run hot like so many do. I would do them if its apart anyways.
Do you need it? Maybe not. But if it helps to keep those rear cylinders from running hotter by bleeding any trapped air out of the water jackets, then it was worth it for me. I used the Earls kit on mine. Not the cheapest, but it allowed me to tuck the hoses away so that I didn’t have to worry about clearance when I reinstalled my supercharger.
EDIT: I believe my stock heads were plugged too (although that should be easy to fix with a small angle drill) but when I changed heads to the GM LS3 CNC versions, those came without the plugs.

I just torqued heads down ....literally....would I need to pull them to drill hole?

you have an LS2 correct? 2005? I pulled the rear blocker plates and ran a borascope down in them....so they are driled correct? Or are the blocked somewhere else in the head I couldn't see ?
