Default MSD Intake with YSI

I just purchased a YSI kit and wanted to ask about intakes. I’m currently running an MSD but wanted to know if anyone had good luck with those on boost or if I should look into another intake.

Sell it for a decent amount and go back to stock.

I run a stock LS3 intake manifold with MAST heads making 1200rwhp shifting above 7000rpm with 88mm turbo and LS9 bottom end. It makes more power than I can use. 22psi max. makes 1060rwhp on 14psi.

That being said the MSD intake works for Feras and his twin turbo C6. I have HEARD of FAST intakes having issues.... but not as much for the MSD.

If running LS3 style heads and not spinning 7500+ stock LS3 intake FTW.

LS2 or LS3? If I'm not mistaken they never made the MSD for LS3 because they couldn't get a design that flows better then stock. I have an MSD atomic airforce on my LS2 pushing 21psi on a billet wheel YSi and it's been great! About to switch up the heads and go LS3 though and will probably run a stock LS3 intake.

I'd like to retract my previous statement, haha. Doing upgraded LS3 heads right now and pulled the MSD Atomic Airforce off, it turns out it did NOT like the boost very much.

I ended up getting a BTR intake. I know I may loose some on the low end but I will be spinning over 7000 so I decided to go with it.

Hopefully you only have to replace the runners so you can fix it and sell it.
