It's an electronic BOV to precisely control boost levels.
In theory, you could pulley down a bigger centri to get it spinning quicker for more power at the low end but prevent it from providing too much boost on the top end. Too much trust in an electronic BOV or good solution?
I know people have toyed around with wastegates on blower setups to accomplish the same thing. I thought the problem is over spinning the head unit on a centri systems when trying to limit boost like this. I have a procharged fbody so I would love something like this just not at the expense of damaging the blower. Not sure about PD blowers and a system like this.
I am working on something less sophisticated. I have a manual boost controller connected to the BoV, set to limit CSC boost to 9.5 PSI which gives me 750 WHP. Part 2 is a boost solenoid controlled with a switch. It will close and block the boost controller so boost will go to as high as the CSC will make.
I am working on a linear type controller for the solenoid to have an adjustable soft close, 2 seconds or so.
