Vortech v13

Just ordered the new v13 will post results. Going from cast ysi. Ysi is on a 2.7 pulley and 8in lower. V13 will be 2.95 upper and 8in lower

10rib 2.7 was the a and a one with the slits in it. 2.95 will be grip tech. They told me 4-6 weeks for the blower because I chose polished

I saw that. Asked him for more details. 1080 is nothing great. Can make that with ysi. He said 2.95 upper. Don’t know his crank size. Was hoping this thing would make 1300 or more

Yes I make the same with a YSI but with a 2.5 pulley (low-ish compression ratio engine) but power falling after 6300rpm. V13 seen to keep the power vs the YSI.

same here with a 2.7 power falling off at 62-6300. Vortech told me not to over spin this one like the ysi that must be why he’s running a 2.95 also. If all it’s gonna do is hold the power out longer that’s not that great. Was expecting more.

Long as it’s worth 5-10 mph in the 1/4 I’ll be happy. Guess we will see I ordered it 2 weeks ago they said 6 weeks

I think he said that they had trouble finding the right size belt. Gates no longer makes the rpm belts. They probably need a 52.5

I had 2 on it with the ysi and the second one keep cracking on the weld. Think is was from vibration. Couldn’t get it not to crack. So block it off and ran just one. It was fine on the ysi gonna try it in this one and see what happens. The only reason I even ran 2 was cause I was having a ton of problems with the drive by wire tb. But I have since switched to cable driven. It’s an auto also so not jumping on and off the throttle like a stick car. The bov is rated to 1800hp I believe.
