Default Need build help

I have been reading and watching videos for the past few months to figure out my build. The more I know the less I know. Hoping I can get some experienced input/advice. I don’t have deep pockets but believe in the “buy once cry once”. And yes I know going fast isn’t cheap but trying to be smart/budget minded where it matters. I would like the ability to increase power later on without pulling the engine. I currently have an engine block and the car. Looking to do all the work except long block assembly. If I could pay a shop to provide a build “list” that would work too.

Use: Be able to drive/cruise without worry. Occasional roll race in Mexico. Nice choppy cam. Will go FI due to hp goals.

Short term goal: 700-800 whp

Long term: 1000 whp potential

Car: 2007 Z06, everything is stock minus engine and no dry sump system

Engine: (purchased) Darton sleeved 427 LS3 from GS, most likely end up wet sump. Are 1/2 inch head studs needed?

Crank: Callie’s compstar? 4.00

Rods: Callie’s compstar?

Pistons: diamond? 4.125

Cam: Brian Tooley boost cam?

Lifters: LS7

Timing chain: C5R

Lower pulley/balancer: ATI?

Heads: LS3 or LS7 or LSA? Aftermaket?

Intake: LS3 or LS7 oem?

Throttle body: stock size

Catch can: ?

Exhaust: 2 inch with 3 inch x pipe dumped

Compression: 10:1 or 10.5:1 ?

Fuel: leaning towards E85

Fuel system: fore dual or triple? Open to other more affordable options? Rails? Injectors?

Power adder: AA kit Ti. Would prefer PD supercharger but not an option at whp goal

Radiator: Dewitt shortened

Fans: Electric? Live in hot and dry TX

Clutch: Monster
Drivetrain: upgrade as needed

To accomplish 1000 whp later on could I change to better heads, bigger throttle body, intake, YSI, and larger injectors?

Appreciate your time/input.

I'd use ARP 234-4317's but you could get away with 234-3610's.

Rotating assembly and BTR cam is fine.

LS7 lifters haven't done well for us in recent years, I would go with Johnson 2110R's.

LS3 or Frankenstein M311 w/ stock LS3 Manfold and TB

ID1300X & Dual Pump Fore will take you all the way to the 1000whp goal.

Tilton ST246 w/ Solid Cerametallic Hub

E85 & 10.5

Venting the hood helps a lot for the summer temps.

Thank you, will look into those lifters. Glad to catch this now. Any reason to stay with dry sump system if I’m not road racing?

Unless it's significantly less expensive to go wet sump I would stick with dry sump. Better oiling is better for longevity in any application.
