Default Boost issue

Hey guys wanted some Input. Just finished install of A&A Ttrim setup on ls7. I'm running 3.8 pulley with stock balancer. Just got call from Tuner sayin issue with boost. First 2 pull made 6.3ish of boost at 5400 and stayed there. He checked belt and was tight so next pull made 9lbs of boost so decided to keep tuning so next pull back down to 6lbs. Hes going to check for leaks anyone have any input or suggestions? Ty

Did he figure it out?

Common issues when loosing boost
*a leak at the couplers
*belt slip
*hose to the BOV has a kink or vacuum source
*the BOV is too small for the power level/boost

Currently running turbo smart 50mm bov so should be enough. Tuner was pulling off dyno to look over some things. Only other issue I could think of is maybe msd intake needs to be tighten again. Had oil passing through intake and getting pass the seals running down the passenger front head. Block off pcv ports and vented to atmosphere. Figured if oil can pass why not boost.

Sounds like a boost leak from what your describing. You should look into a mighty mouse catch can with pcv.

Tuner emailed yesterday saying thinks it was the belt tensioner so hopefully I'll be getting some good news between today and tmrw. Ill be adding catch can when I get car back.

Thanks Josh Sent him video. Drop off my original ls7 intake and Tb to see if that corrects problem. Was looking over my cam dyno graph and car pull to 7k now it only pulls to 5400 peak then flattens out. Im hoping boost is either getting past intake gaskets or my belt is incorrectly tighten.

You must pressure test forced induction applications from the compressor cover through to intake manifold

The crankcase should never vent to atmosphere this will lead to oil accumulating in baffles, rings, and oil pushed out of the engine oil seals.

Thanks Josh again for video. I had adjusted belt wrong. Adjusted belt right way and fix boost issue. Making 9lbs and car put down 815/680 on meth and e85.
