Iv looked around and only seen a couple a2a intercooler posted with having iat issues with big hp but nobody really stated the ic size.
I have a built motor ysi setup 1100whp running the a&a ic. My iat get to 220* at the top of 4th after 10mins of warm up on a 60* day. So this has to be fixed and I'm not interested in using meth. So my plan is to use a vibrant core 22,11,6 . To fit this I'm going to cut out the center part of the crash bar in front of the core and rad and I'll tube it in the front and be able to fit this big core in by laying it back some like the a&a. Pretty much double the size should help bring the iat down below 200 but only one way to really find out. Only issue is the core I'm using is on back order haha. Theres 6in of space from the ac to the crash bar already.
How are these massive front mounts affecting coolant temps?
I'm still waiting in the core to come in. Coolant should be fine it will still have room on the outer edges if the core just like the a&a does fir air to go around.
I'll take alil more coolant and not melt my motor down. I have a dewitts ran and there brushless 17in fan car doesn't see over 200
Have you been able to get the 17" dewitts brushless to work with the oem wiring, or does it have its own as far as when it comes on and stuff? I am in the market for a 17" brushless. Sorry, off topic a bit.
Guess big is relative, but this 2500hp unit fit ok after some things were moved around. 3.5" inlet/outlet with 16AN lines. Standing up the radiator and deleting AC frees up a lot of space.
