Default Boosted radiator setup

Putting on the ECS kit on 06 c6z. Seems like I have read, mostly from same person, on here that the shortened Dewitt's is not a good option. Is that true? It's what I had planned, and already bought, to replace my 100k mile stock one. It came with the dual Spals which I plan to swap for the Prospeed fan setup. I don't think there is any argument that the Prospeed setup is probably the best, but did I downgrade by getting a new shortened Dewitts?

Dewitts will cool both oil and trans fluid too. There is also the potential to have a race intercooler in front as well.

I run the Dewitt shortened radiator with Prospeed fans and I have the Procharger race intercooler in front of it. My car never gets above 210° even in traffic with 90-95° ambient outside temperature.

That combo works very well on my car. I also retained the stock hood (no vents).

Great to hear. Do you Have transmission fluid and/or engine oil cooled by the radiator too?

I wonder if I should have gone with an external oil cooler instead of integrating it into the radiator.

I am a big fan of the integrated oil cooler of the DeWitts. Liquid to liquid heat transfer is much more efficient than liquid to air. Also, the integrated cooler will get the oil up to temperature faster which is a good thing. And it is a simpler setup.

Any thoughts on how the Gspeed fan option compares to the Prospeed? Just the fan and shroud, not the laydown kit.
