Default LS3 Intake for boost

Hi folks, I’m building a LS3 in a C5 that will be Procharged. I need to purchase an intake as I don’t have one. I know the stock one works well and is cheap so I’m leaning towards that but I’m wondering if any of the aftermarket options are worth looking into? I don’t mind spending more money if it looks good and outperforms the stock piece, only caveat is that it must fit under the stock hood. Thanks folks.

If its gotta fit under the hood your choices are simple. But I would steer you away from upgrading, the LS3 intake is very good. I personally made 900+ on my old LS3 intake.

But if you must upgrade there are some good options.

I believe so. But do your research.

I don't believe GPI recommends them in pressurized applications. They take a lot out and weaken them structurally during the porting procedure. Fine for N/A, not so much for supercharger or turbo use.

I think you’re right. I’m leaning towards a new oem intake.

they have multiple versions. The one where they hog it completely out they do not recommend. The rod mod is safe for boost the ported rod mod is not. I emailed them directly when I was super charging my LS three and that’s what they told me plus it’s on their website
