I'm curious if there are any clearance issues with the alternator and the LF coil pack ? It looks like it might be really close.

Any pictures available of these installed on a C6 Vette ?
Installed these last week. Check the pictures in my profile, there is a bracket included to mount the coil away from the alternator.

Funny my coils are NOT the same as yours.

Here is what I have found while attempting the install on my LS7:
-The factory hardlines that come off the oil tank and connect to the VC's do NOT work.
-The relocation bracket used to move the coil (closest to the alternator) over a bit do NOT work with MY (factory OEM) coils. I had to cut the bracket into two seperate pieces and shim it up a bit over the VC bolt.

Other than that they seem to be pretty decent pieces. Hope hope. I just hope there are no issues with my factory valvetrain!

And a quick "thanks" to Hinson Motorsports for kicking *** and getting me the info I needed in such a timely manner. I have been a good customer to Hinson. I have their motor and Trans mounts and I had my rockers trunion upgrade done by them. I can.say this...With the exception of the motor mounts everyghing else I got from them.had some sort of fit issue. When I called and askes them why my provided bolts didnt work with my new trunion upgrade I was told, "I dont know...just cut them off to make them shorter." Its been two days since I kindly asked about the factory line connections and STILl no.answer. Thanks again guys.

I have OEM coils on a 2006 LS2. That bracket bolted right up for me. Are coils on a Z different? Anyway, after a week no oil leaks or issues. Coolant temp seems to run a little cooler without the plastic engine covers.

What about replacing the factory hard line with equal diameter rubber hose (vac or oil line) with a T fitting at the back of the motor where the hard line splits off? It would be relatively little expense for this fix. Or worse case, cut the fitting off the OEM covers and basically splice it in using rubber just after the fitting on the new covers so you can connect your hard line. Although, this would ruin your OEM covers.

But I understand your point. If it's sold to fit LS7's, it should fit with no mods.

triblk6spd - As you have already seen, the LS7 valve covers bolt on the engine, but the stock air lines do not have the same connections. I do not see an easy way of modifying the stock lines, so you would want to rebuild the lines. These are new products, and we haven't installed them on an LS7 yet. We appreciate your understanding.

Let us know if we can help moving forward.

Yep Im gonna just snip off the ends and use a piece of 3/8" hose as a coupler. Cutting up pieces of my car to "make **** work" sucks but oh well.

Lol. I figured that out two days ago. You know the LS7 coils do NOT fit the relocation bracket either? The provided bracket will have to be cut into two pieces to make work.

Any more member pictures of recent installs? Would like to see a krinkle black set that isn't a Holley stock picture.
Wouldn't mind seeing Holley do a set in krinkle red also.
