I just got a Diablo Sport U7191, and I can't get past the Performance Tune option. I comes up with this error, "12595692: part number not found in vehicle database." This number corresponds with the ECM Software under the Calibration menu. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Please help.

unless you have an 05 you may have the wrong model. u7194 is for the 06

Sorry, I should have put that in the last post. It is an '05. I was thinking maybe a previous tune may be causing the problem? The car was bought used about six months ago. Maybe the dealer has to reflash the computer.

I think you posted this issue on our website....I am looking into it for you.
EDIT: Did you see my response to your post on our forum? I need to get your VIN number so I can look up the calibration on GMs website. If you don't want to post it, PM me here with it.

I did see your response on the DS website Mike. Thank you for your help. I actually called this morning and found out that the ECM calibration is an old one. There is an update at the dealership, and after we get that the tuner will work. Thanks again for the answer. You guys have a great product here.

Cool, let me know if we can do anything for you in the future.

GM came out with a reflash of the PCM/ECM for the '05 C6 after lots of problems with DBS (Dead Battery Syndrome). DiabloSport had to come out with an updated software for the Predator so it would recognize and work with the new GM software in the PCM.
So, your Predator is probably loaded with the newest software, but your C6 is not.
If you take it to the dealer they should do the reflash for you. However, there have been some reports here on the forum that they balk on doing a reflash if you haven't been having dead battery problems.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
I'll be standing by because I have an '05 and I've never had DBS so I've never gotten the PCM reflash. Maybe it's time, so let me know if you have any trouble getting a dealer to do it for you.
My Predator works with my old PCM software because I've still got an old version of Predator software installed. It's probably time I got the upgraded stuff in my PCM and my Predator!

Hey Bob,
I did have the DBS. They said it was a bad cell.......in two batteries? Well, we got tired of that and picked up an Optima Red Top. An appointment has been made for the dealership to reflash the computer. I also realized that the last update for the Predator wouldn't work with the last version of the ECM software, but unfortunately you can't "downgrade" the software in the Predator. Oh, well. Now the 'Vette will have the right software, and a good tune.
It's got the Breathless boxed ram air intake, and Corsa Sport exhaust. The only other thing I could see doing is porting the TB, for a little better throttle response(not that there's a problem with it now. )

1. Actually you can "downgrade" the Predator software. I don't think they have the old files on the DiabloSport site anymore, but I've got some old ones. If for some reason you can't get your PCM reflashed, you could "downgrade" the Predator so you could use it on your car. I could email you the files and you can send them from your computer to the Predator. If it comes to that I'll fill you in how to do it. Actually, you may be interested in knowing that anyway, so that when they come out with upgraded Predator s/w you can upgrade your Predator.
2. Nothing the matter with porting the TB, but just wait until you put the Predator tune in your car - I think you'll feel a lot more responsive throttle just from the Predator Performance Tune and that may be all you need.

Well, it's at the dealership right now getting reflashed. Yesterday their "Corvette Expert" wasn't there and the guy they had working on it couldn't even get in the car. Once the service writer opened the door for him, they ran into some security system, and had to wait for the expert to get in. Well, today they got through the security system, and are reflashing the computer. But it was going to take a while. It's taking so long, we can't get it until Monday.
If anyone here knows what it is, what is the big deal about this updated software? What was the problem, and how does this software help? Thanks for any help.

I don't know what the big deal is.
I've got an early '05 and I've still got my original battery and have never had DBS. So, I've never gone to the dealer to have the reflash.
My Predator has an older version of its software, so I can use it with the old PCM software.
Well, I finally got everything worked out. I got the cable mentioned by above, and uploaded the first CROM version. It worked great. I data logged my first run in the car. The weirdest two things I noticed were the AFR stayed at exactly 14.75 most of the time, and the Torque Delivered percent topped out at about 82%. I guess that's the Torque Management ruining all my fun. Oh, well...I'll just tell it to go to it's room, and think about what it's done. Also, I'm going to need some stickier tires in the back. During a WOT run, my tires started spinning at about 4500 RPM. I love torque. Well, that's it for now.

I got your PM, and I'm glad to hear you've got the Predator talking to your car!
As far as the AFR, don't rely on what the Predator says about that at all. Your "part throttle" AFR above is stoichiometric, but what you need to perhaps adjust is the "Wide Open Throttle" AFR to 13.0-12.9.
With the Predator, the AFR readings are not reliable. Take a look at this old thread below (Wow! it's actually from EXACTLY one year ago!!!) and you'll see how mikeyc6 was working with the O2 sensor voltages to adjust the PE at WOT to get a proper AFR.
Well, I'm going to take another run tonight, and try to "Mikey's Method" and figure out the AFR from there. It's a little confuing, but I'm going to read through it a couple more times and try to figure it out. Thanks.

I swore I posted this here yesterday, must have started to and got distracted.
The inferred A/F parameter in the log in the Predator is incorrect!
The value displayed there is inaccurate. To see the proper inferred A/F ratio, upload your log or live data to our DAT viewer software. This will display this PID correctly when viewed on your PC.
We will be fixing this in the next software revision for this Predator.

Thanks for that info, Mike.
Unfortunately Kyle and I are running an old version of the .crom because we don't have the most recent PCM flash.
I believe the DAT viewer only works with the newer versions of the Predator .crom firmware. I guess I need to go bug my dealer to get my PCM updated because it sounds like the DAT viewer is pretty neat!
Bob
BTW, I lived in Cooper City (Rock Creek) for 15 years. Stirling didn't go west of University and Flamingo was a little 2 lane country road when we moved in!

Yeah, I saw you say that you had an old calibration...but, if you have an old rev. in the Predator that works, then you can update it to any of the newer ones as all new revisions contain support for all previous revisions.
Thanks
Mike
BTW, Rock Creek is right around the corner, I'm in Summertime Aisles.
I may be a youngster, but I remember when Griffin ended at University drive, or hell, when Griffin was still two lanes, not a major highway!

I don't quite understand what you're saying in the above quote.
By "calibration" are you talking about my "custom tune"?
If that's what you mean, then I think you're telling me that when I get my PCM flashed and can upgrade the Predator .crom file I'm using to the most current 8r07 version, that my custom tune will still work.
