I did the 8r03 crom update but only because I wanted to be able to disable CAGS in the stock tune. If it's a new feature you want or addresses a bug you might have in the previous crom I'd say yes. Other than that I don't see a need. I'm not a Predator expert though.
DiabloSport's website tells you what the latest update contains. If the update contains features that don't impact or pertain to your car in any way, I doubt you would need to dl a new firmware update.

But is the whole CROM update for just the Cad or does it have other updates for the vette? With the major upgrade leaning toward the Cad. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

If you need to do the update, just restore the backup and then update.
Then, reinstall the tune from the Predator.

If I have a custom tune do I need to flash it back stock then update the predator, then add the custom tune back into the predator to flash it back to the car?
