Which programmer?
I just got a new 2008 A6 vette and curious what the best programmer going is? Want something that will help out with the paddle shift program, etc. Curious what everyone else is using with good results. Also, what is a good cold air intake for the 08? I was thinking the halltech or the K&N aircharger.

Not sure what handheld programmers offer as for TCM tuning, however our tuning software for the A6 has been out for some time now & many tuners & mail order tuners alike have had good success with our package.

Do it right & get HP Tuners, then you can buy a custom tune via E-mail & load it yourself.

Do it right and get something that is truly expandable... I'm not sure what other tuners are out there that support transmission tunings, but I know that the Predator (any version) for the corvette does not.JR

The handhelds come with a base tune for CAI and another usually for headers and CAI. Is the HP Tuners software delivered with similar base tunes that can be tweaked with all the various features in the HP tuning package. I'd buy it for my 08 in a heartbeat if it did as I'm sure many others would also.

You are free to join our user help forum at http://www.hptuners.com/forum/index.php where with nearing 10,000 members you should be able to find a good amount of answers for any questions you may have, however, tuning is for many an obsession and you will find yourself tweaking & learning on your own every day.
If your not sure if you'll have the patience for it then a mail order tune or the like might be a better option.
