Intermittent Starting Problems HELP
2008 Coupe. Approximately every 10 days the car will not start. All the LED's come on and I can hear clicking. Westloh determined the battery is OK and confirmed the grounding is secure. They cannot duplicate the problem after having it in for one week. HELP!!!!!

If you have long tube headers wrapping around the starter, the starter is starting to go.
I had the same thing and had PowerTech performance change out the starter and I havent had the issue since.

I had this issue on my '08 and from previous similar experiences I swapped out one of the relays under the hood and it's been fine now for years. If the car is not turning over (starter is not engaging) when the start button is pressed, this would be the first thing I would try. I believe it's the starter relay, if I remember correctly.

It was the solenoid inside the starter. The local Chev Dealer couldn't recreate the problem until they parked it out front for me to pick-up unfixed. Lo and behold, it didn't start! Apparently the starter's proximity to the exhaust manifold cooks the solenoid. As mentioned above, the problem was intermittent although it was getting progressively worse. Thanks for your help.
