Default SilverStars Installed

I tried both sets in my C6. They give a slight blue color and a hint of amber when the light assembly is viewed in daylight. Much more "clear" looking lens than before.

The 3057AST and 3157/4157AST bulbs interchange with the stock 5702KA bulb as I suspected.

The 3057 bulb has a slightly dimmer DRL filament (which I like) compared to the 3157/4157 bulb. The 3157/4157 appears to be the same intensity as the stock 5702 bulb. The turn signal filaments seem to produce the same intensity on all of the bulbs.

The illuminated color is slightly more amber as opposed to the more yellow color of the stock bulb.

I prefer the reduced intensity DRL feature of the 3057AST bulb so those are the ones I kept installed.

The bulbs were purchased at a Murrays Auto store near me.

73Vetteman, thanks for the helpful diagnostic! I really apreciate it. Good to know that those other bulbs are basically the same as the stock ones and fairly easy to find/replace. I look forward to picking up a set and installing them. Thanks for doing the work and posting the results.
