Today, took the car for a ride. I was driving for about 30 min or so. I got on the expressway. Went through WOT 1st, 2nd then proceeded to 3td so I thought. I did not miss 3td but the clutch was stuck to the floor. When I let off the gas it poped back up. What would cause that to happen? Is that a common thing with a clutch. I have had only automatics in the past so I do not know if this is normal. I have 2,700 mi on the car and never had this happen before.
Thanks,
One possible explanation: If you overreved the engine on the 2 - 3 upshift, you may have been experiencing clutch "stay out". Basically the centrifugal force of the diaphram spring fingers exceeds the return force of the diaphram spring. Then, when your rev's drop, the clutch re engages.
Yes i have had it happen to me . Also been having issues shifting into reverse at first it was ocasionly going in R half way now i have a prob just getting to go in reverse . It keeps grinding . put it in first and then back to R it would work . also when i start it up it grinds in R until i shift up to 1 and back .

unfortunately, i believe this is the case with certain c6 mn6's. what suspensionb setup do you have, it shouldn't matter but just wondering.
I'm wondering it everyone that has or has this problem has either the mn6 f55 or another one.

if it's grinding at startup then call onstar and have the car picked-up. New clutch is needed.
My dealer had sent email to GM,they respond confirming that there is a clutch prob but recomend to wait as there is new improved clutch that will be released soon.
I decided to wait rather than have my car teared twice.
Car is in shop now . Talk to tech said yea there is a new clucth but do not have it yet coming soon lol . btw I also experienced clutch suck on hard exel. and the Reverse issue i had when grinding in R also had the speedo jump to 200mph as the prev. post i have read. Will let you know on what they find . Talk to teck also about putting in a performance clutch and flywheel he said 1 hr. charge while its appart would do . Any recemendation on fly+clutch would be much appr. thx in advance
Many people have posted about this issue. I heard about a fix but thought that they were putting the new clutch in the builds since they knew about the problem. About on of the only advantages to having to wait for your car to be built is by the time they get to it, them may have some more of the bugs worked out.
