Default HUD in C6 vs C5

Took a test drive in a new C6 and noticed the HUD was harder to see than my C5-it acted like there was some type of distortion in the glass. Is this a common complaint or just this particular car? On a second note, I'm about to pull the triger on a new C6 and was wondering if it was worth the extra $20 over my 2004 C5-the C5 is really great but its not a C6....

No problems with mine, but I did have to fiddle with the adjustments a bit to get it the way I like it.

Very clear, crisp and bright...maybe glass of HUD or windshield was dirty on the car you were in...

How's that different from the C5 again?

In the C5 and C6, the level of distortion depends or the position of your head. Lean too far to the side and bring the seat up too high and you get distortion.

I like the new version. It has more information available.

I know exactly what you mean. It looks wavey if you move your head around. I noticed that immediately when I picked up my C6. I'm just learning to live with it...

I assume that you DO know that the display can be moved around a little, and that the brightness can be adjusted?

No way, who told you that? I bet it's even in the manual. I was wondering what all those buttons were on the left side. Mine's crisp and clear.

I'm not rofl. Read the original post. Who looks at the manual before going for a test drive?

Dig Dave, thats EXACTLY what I mean. And yes I do understand about the adjustment-my C5 has HUD but I couldn't adjust it out of the C6.

i have the identical issue with mine, its consistently wavy regardless
of the position of the HUD or your head. about what youd expect
if the glass wasnt flat. it also appears a bit out of focus, but nothing
id be willing to pull the dash apart to adjust. my C5 HUD is both
sharp and flat, but of course not as cool as the C6.
